What do hedgehogs eat?
In the wild hedgehogs will wander for up to three miles in one night foraging for food. Hedgehogs mainly eat bugs found in gardens. Slugs, snails, caterpillars, beatles and other small insects all make up the staple diet of the hedgehog. Hedgehogs will also eat frogs, toads, mice and bids eggs if they sumble accross them.

When a hedgehog is being cared for here they are fed tinned dog food, dried cat food (not fish variety) and chopped peanuts. Hoglets (baby hedgehogs) are reared on a mix of goats milk, egg and vitamins. To drink they have water.
Never feed a hedgehog on bread and milk as they can't digest it!
